Sky Over Fife
Sky Over Fife is a collection of daily images of the sky over the North-East of Fife. This study started on day one of my PhD research into understanding ‘place’ and its relationship with the design of interactions and experiences between humans and technology.
At a time when we all need to tackle climate change, whilst we simultaneously rely heavily on technology, there is a need to question and reconsider human interactions with technology and the planet. Place, which is our emotional bond and connection to geographical location, is widely considered a powerful foundation to mitigating the climate crisis.
In my PhD, I ask, what is the role of place within the design of Human-Computer Interaction?
