The digital inclusion of older adults in ‘digital by default’ societies is a global challenge. The rapidly changing digital landscape, lack of systematic consideration of age-related differences during the development and deployment of digital solutions, and population ageing all exacerbate this challenge. This poster will describe ongoing work, in collaboration with community organisations, in addressing this problem, including deriving a framework for digital inclusion, identifying design practices for developing accessible digital services, co-creating age-appropriate and engaging resources with older adults in our communities, and determining effective support mechanisms for those who help older adults with digital access.
